The first yellow trumpets of daffodil heads are appearing in our fields, and there’s a fresh quality to the air that lifts the spirits and encourages innovation. This attitude is reflected in pharmatech’s unceasing push for improvement in an industry all-too-often bogged down in tradition.
Leading the charge is Natoli, opening this edition with a discussion about multi-tip tooling in tablet development (page 10). Entegris follows with a Q&A about downstream cell processing platforms – another area benefitting from innovation (page 13).
Within this edition, IPT is pleased to feature CARBOGEN AMCIS’ showcase, which discusses the company’s policies and offerings to the sector such as high-potency active pharmaceutical ingredient expertise and formulation to commercialisation capabilities.
In IPT’s Imaging and Sensing topic, Bio-Rad talks about the challenges in bispecific antibody production, which advances in mixed-mode chromatography are helping to overcome (page 26). Abselion then talks to IPT about non-optical sensor technologies and their use at the bench (page 30). Takara Bio introduces the Discovery & Development section with a piece about spatial multi-omics (page 34), followed by a discussion on DNA sequencing by INTEGRA Bioscience (page 38) and an article by Genomics about the use of genomics in precision medicine development (page 42). Artificial intelligence’s continuing use in pharma development is covered by both Tata Consultancy Services (page 48) and Veeva (page 51), and Merck rounds off IPT’s Digital section with a discussion on cyber-physical trust platforms (page 54).
IPT Spring then finishes off with two Q&As from Artificial Inc (page 57) and Trilobio (page 60) about how automated labs are connecting disparate systems, and robotic automation is streamlining processes, respectively.
IPT would also like to highlight the highly anticipated INTERPHEX 2025 event, coming up on 1-3April in New York, US – look out for the review in the next edition!
With sunshine breaking through grey clouds, it won’t be long until summer, and IPT Summer, are here!
